I went to see him for the first time in my life last night (my life has been leading up to it). He has been the voice of my life and I have grown up listening to him. Bob, now well into his sixties, was stunning - his voice seemed to cast off his age, and you might have believed you were listening to him in manchester in 1966 after a standing ovation for every song (particulary Like a Rolling Stone). Did anyone else see him last night (or two/three/four days ago depending on when you read this) or at newcastle/glasgow/birmingham in the previous week and a half?

P.S. If you don't like him please keep your opinions to yourself, in my experience mentioning his name on a forum always brings up at least one arsehole who cannot contain himself and has to say "he can't sing" etc. However I have total confidence that you are all polite, respectful people. :D

One of my all-time favorite rock/folk singers.

For a funny parody, check out this song by Syd Barrett:Bob Dylan blues (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOokCdkIejk)

i saw Bob play in the early 90's. I've seen a shit load of shows in the last 20 years and Dylan stands at the top. Memorable show. It was just Bob, a chair, his guitar and harmonica. A bonus of that show was that an up and coming and unannounced Lenny Kravitz opened for him.
