Comrade Newski

I'm Newski, a Communist Filmmaker from Chicago.
A little about myself, I am 21 years old to begin with. I work as an Assistant Director/Producer/Production Manager for hire on indy films. I work for free, unfortunatley, because I can't get hired on a certain level without finding that one job that pushes me over the edge. After all, I'm a Lower Middle Class person with a Lower class history. Still, I know I can manage a meager living as an Audio Engineer.
I'm a very devout agnostic, and strangely enough I do attend services at a Unitarian Church.
I knew from a very young age that one's place in society is usually predetermined from birth, and that to actually matter in society it's not who you are but what family you are brought into. I enjoy stories of the good ol' American Dream, a man going into town with just a quarter, starting a business, and becoming a success. But I decided that those are only stories, and that there is very little room to actually move up in society.
However, I don't want to "Move Up". I've always just wanted to have what I need and do what I am best at.
My father introduced me to Folk Singers Woody Guthrie and Phil Ochs, and that actually lead to Marx and Engels. Of course, it doesn't hurt I was raised on films like "Battleship Potemkin" and "Monsiuer Verdoux."
Now I'm twenty one, working on other people's movies, and writing B-Grade Political Exploitation schlock.
