I'm here by a process of life. The process went something like this.

PRE-2003

1. I accepted American life the way it is because I was too young to understand the truth.

2003

2. I began to ask questions.

2004

3. I became a liberal.

2005

3. I openly began to challenge the American system of things and became a socialist.

4. People told me I was wrong, people pushed me down, and so I quit talking.

5. Slowly I began to reaccept the way things were in America.

6. I migrated in a more conservative direction.

2006

7. I was unhappy.

8. I began to question again.

2007

9. I went through a struggle in life and realized that the system of things in this country is responsible. No, I am not poor, but oppressed.

10. I re-became a socialist.

Hey and welcome to this board. Hopefully we can stop you moving right again, and even bring you more left. The process of indoctrination will start in Learning. Head there and read over some threads (especially the stickied ones). Then, if you have any questions, ask them!

I'm sure you are still working out what sort of socialist you are, and don't feel pressured to label yourself anything. Though, if you must, I suggest anarchism as a super-set of ideologies that is quite interesting.

If nothing else, anarchists have more fun :AO:.

browse all the forums and that should give you a good idea of what each socialist ideology represents. Welcom to the site.
