Hi everyone, I been lurking awhile and decided to join. I found your website after lurking about at Stormfront. Sorry about that.
I don't know what my beliefs are beyond being a leftist. We have what is called a 'social democratic tradition' in Quebec and tend to elect governments based on those ideals. I believe Quebec politics and society are 'left of' politics in Canada. There is no widespread conservative movement in our province like the one you see in the United States.
Before I was born, Quebec underwent a Quiet Revolution. It was largely peaceful and changed the province from being controlled by the Catholic Church and the English business elite to becoming secular and under control of a new French business elite. Our society is more compassionate than it was during the Duplessis era.
I am non-religious and believe in the separation of church and state (secularism?)
I'm opposed to racism, the continuing existence of poverty and lack of technological progress in areas crucial to the betterment of humankind. I also support many of the issues posed by environmentalists.

p.s. I'm not a reader of dry political stuff but I did read Homage to Catalonia many years ago and enjoyed the story. Is there hope for me?
