I was thinking about doing one, but I'm not really sure how.
1.)Do you think its a very good idea?
2.)How would you go about doing it (what would you need,etc.)

I podcast myself, and yes I definately do. Here's how you do it.

1) get a computer mic if you don't already have one. You can get a cheap quality one at a retail store for about 10$.

2) get an account on a website that hosts podcasts. The one I use is mypodcast.com, but I'm not sure if that is the best service. Once podcasts are recorded, you can also post them in a blog.

3) get a computer program that records your voice through the mic. The podcasting services usually come with a free recording progam when you sign up for an account. Record what you want, then hit the "publish" button. Then tell all your friends.

I use a free program called Audacity for my recording on the computer. It works very well, I suggest you get it. It was confusing for me at first to get the hang of adding songs to the recording, but whatever.
