K. Marx, F. Engels, V. I. Lenin attached great importance to the armed revolt as the mean of the revolutionary overthrow of the exploiters and proletariat's attainment of political power. They considered revolt an art.
The revolt has to lean not on the plot and not only on the party , but on the vanguard class and the revolutionary enthusiasm of the people in order to be successful. It must lean on such a turning- point in the development of the revolutiion, when the activity of the vanguard is the greatest, when the hesitation of the enemy is higher than ever. Marxism- Leninism determined the main rules of the revolt as an art:
1. never play with a revolt. People have to know that they need to fight till the victorious end;
2. to gather the biggest preponderance of power in the key sector, in the decisive moment; otherwise an enemy , who have better training and organization would destroy rebel forces;
3. if the revolt has begun , it is necessary to act with a greatest resoluteness, undoubtedly launch an attack, defense is the death of a revolt;
4. try to take an enemy by surprise, to snatch a moment when it's forces are scattered;
5. achieve at leats small success each day, maintaining a moral preponderance.
