I heard part of one of his songs in some documentary about the DDR, and it was some great music :)

Wolf Biermann is really bad hippie shit music and the guy is an total idiot. I mean really, this music total sucks, he has the musical talent of a turtle, it's all about the lyrics for those who do like him, how can anyone who doesn't even speak German like his strange way of "music"?!

Just saw him in an interview yesterday, he still is on his anti-DDR crussade and was talking about the PDS/Left party (former SED) like they where a party full of Stasi criminals who want to rebuild a Stalinist regime tomorrow in Germany.

If you want decent German communist a-hippie-with-a-guitar-music listen to Hannes Wader (http://www.answers.com/topic/hannes-wader), especially to his record "Hannes Wader sings Arbeiterlieder", where he soley sings German worker's songs.
