FOREVER LEFT

I saw it. Che is portrayed as a callous villain. Funny also how the bourgeoisie is portrayed!!!!! The bourgeois are portrayed as heroic, selfless, hard working etc. One of them (a relative to the Andy García character) has his huge landholdings confiscated by Castro and he screams, "This land that I have worked on with my bare hands!"

I saw this a while ago. As a movie, I think its pretty well made. But as a political work, it sucks ass. :che:

NAw, it sucks as a political film as a whole. Andy Garcia tries to make a statement with this movie but more or less flops. Acting on here as a whole is pretty ridiculous( especially hooking him up with the "damsel"). Che is also portrayed as a villian as forever left already stated, which is pretty ridiculous. It flips the scenarios as it makes che look like the bourgeosie, but in reality Che was out there HELPING people grow crops, work in the factories, and all that shit. I also usually like Bill Murrary, but he was just out of place with his wacky jokes in a supposibly serious movie.

Thats probably so to fit in with the sensibility of some of the cuban exiles in Miami. They think all people are rich from their own work or something like that.
