In the complaint letter thread here in DIY we were talking about how to scam free shit from compononies.

One person was trying to get some DRM boots. I was trying to get some boots too... and I got em... Just goes to show by being the victim instead of the whiny ***** you get what you want! To many of you guys are trying to sca, by being the whiny customers instead of the innocent distraught ones.

Fruit of my lying -

"Hey Ann!

First let me start by saying that I am very sorry to hear that your
friend's boots fell apart after a couple of months. Our customers are
our top priority and we are committed to ensuring that you receive the
quality service you deserve. Thank you for bringing this situation to
our attention. I would like the opportunity to make this situation
right
with you. If you would please send me your friend's mailing address, I
would like to send you a gift card for $50.00 & a FBC card fully
stamped
to cover the cost of the boots. I hope to hear from you soon, and
again
I am very sorry!

Sincerely,
Nicole "

shouldn't we NOT say the word "*****" in that context? I've been called out on saying that before by some idiots who could not argue my points over at the socialism forum at myspace. They did make a good point though.

Anyhow, good job getting the boots

I know, the people and reasons they call people are rediculous.

It was an email, they didn't know who (or how old I was) I was and they sure as fuck weren't about to send me a 200$ video game for free... As for letter fraud I prefer simply abusing a product as much as much as I can, then exchanging it with a receipt and a sad story. :D

I really want to do this but first, I'm too much of a wuss, and I don't want to get caught doing stupid shit until I move out of the house, and second, I wouldn't know what to ask for...there are so many things.

What did you actually say in the letter though? i think there may well be sometime in your framing of it and your manipulation, hehe
