It is bullshit. It implies that the common people (assuming that is who is watching the TV) have any influence on the army, which they DON'T, and that the common people of the 1 st world oppress 3rd worlders, which they DON'T.

I think you missed the point.

The Army is protecting the 1st worlders from the third worlders who would surely take away the 1st worlds privileges if the armed forces were not there.

Thats how i see it at least.
