View Full Version : My Theory On The World

How do I see the world? It is essential to know how I view mankind. I believe that people are essentially greedy and that most (if not all) problems in history have started because of someone or some culture’s greed. I see people being greedier than ever. The protestant work ethic and Calvinism clearly played a major part in this country’s founding and throughout the years has increased. Greed is not just in the United States.
It seems that radical Islamic groups and some Muslim countries are greedy and envious of the United States. Zionists are greedy about wanting the Jews back in the Palestinian area. The Palestinians are greedy because they don’t want the Jews in their living space. Religion, as I see it, is mainly oppressive and bad. Sure there are good parts of religion like how the Roman Catholic has built countless hospitals all over the world. What about believing in Christianity though? If you are a ‘good’ Christian and follow “god’s” laws and rules then you will go to ‘heaven’. If you do not, you are damned to hell. Christianity gave birth to the crusades. When the crusaders dispersed, the Roman Catholic Church had conquistadors to do their dirty work. To conquer, and then instill Christianity into the native’s head space. All religions have their skeletons in their closets, but the United States is mainly Christian so I see the problems more than other religions.
It also seems that Communism and Socialism is becoming extinct. It seems to me that more countries are relying mainly on trade then on the welfare of its inhabitants. But not even trade. Trade, any trade with the United States is basically the county giving wealthy capitalists land, to have factories and use cheap labour of the peasant and proletariat population of that country! As I said in class today, why is having more inhabitants on earth better? The less big corporations spend on labour in foreign countries, the more they will charge the American public.
Why is the gap between poor and rich still growing? Are people greedy, or are the poor people lazy? The poor people are usually the ones doing the manual labour, and the rich people are usually the ones that are CEO’s of companies and the big sharks, that don’t do anything but spend money on gold pens.
I see a need for people to voice their opinions about the working class.
I see that I have it better than I see, and I shouldn’t be complaining.
I see teachers getting paid less and less as the need for them grows.
I see a world of corruption and greed, and one that can be healed over time, with the right government and the right rulers.
I see big factories as ugly, and a sunset more memorable and more precious than any pair of brand name sneakers. I see the world through pessimistic eyes. Or maybe it’s optimistic, because part of me sees that the world can only get better from here.

I don't think the racical Islamic groups are jealous of the US's wealth.
I think they detest their commerialism and materialism.

More like measures in which to increase wealth. Often in a hostile manner.

You can have wealth without commercialism and materialism.
That's not the point though, I think there is a difference between envy/jealous and detestation.
I think the Islamic groups reasons do not come from a want of wealth, but their hatred of the results of this wealth; commercialism and materialism.
