I have not read Lenin's work by this title, but I have it in his essential works which I will read when I have finished reading other literature...

I have read that Lenin describes the highest stage of Capitalism, as 'parasitic' in this work. THe more I think about it in relation to my own country, the more it seems to me that my country is a prime example of Capitalism in stagnation.

The era of 'Corporate Imperialism', in which we live in today, is, I believe near the end of the Capitalists mode of production. I already thought this beforehand, but the extent of the situation has only became apparent in the last few months.

For example, the revelation that two thirds of the UK's economy make-up is services, leaving only one third to manufacture. As you might expect, this shocked me. This fact, coupled with a bit of logic, made me come to the conclusion that, this Country is a parasite. Loads of wealth is pouring into this country with very little moving out as a result of surplus-value by international bourgeois. This puts our economy in a dire position, the dependency on the world market would make Nationalisation in the short term very damaging. I understand, that maybe the Labour government is indeed Socialist, but unwilling to impliment it or take any great steps towards Socialism because of fear of adverse effects probably created by significant reform. We must look to the undeveloped countries to impliment socialism, then the rest shall fall...

Great post. Lenin was more right than ever. This book can now be a guidance/prediction for the future of capitalism and already things are becoming true what Lenin predicted. I haven't read the book yet, still stuck with Ted Grant and Alan Woods. Globalisation = imperialism is a collateral effect of capitalism, which is more than true nowadays. You can come to a conclusion that capitalism will destroy itself but Lenin also said that can take million years and the result of capitalism in crisis is FASCISM and all the horrors within.

Did Trotsky predict something like that? (just remembered that you had once said about Trotsky being more genius that Lenin).

Of course he did. Just because he hasn't written books about CAPITALISM's development, doesn't mean he knew nothing of it. Why would he write more analysis? Because it was already written so fine by Lenin and he was more concentrating on the biggest issue - STALINISM and FASCISM. So, you are suddenly discrediting Trotsky as a Marxist because he didn't write awsome predictions about the development of capitalism, shame on you! What about his amazing books of Stalinism and Fascism, which are the predictions that all came true. Or his theory about the Permanent revolution. Or his thinkings of Marxism & Art? What's the purpose of your discredit to him? I really wonder if you understand how close Lenin and Trotsky were in reality. I suggest you un-brainwash yourself with stalinist lies because they will only block your way to the road to communism.
