Has this documentary been discussed before?

I think it's interesting. It makes some rather leftist statements. Most interesting of all, however, is the insight it gives into the "Military Industrial Complex", and what we as revolutionaries should expect to have to deal with. Think of it as "intel".

i've seen the first half of it and missed the last half - i really want to see it though

it's very interesting and disturbing at the same time - that America has to rely on constant wafare to stimulate its capitalist economy.

it's also interesting in that it presents Republican Einsenhower as a prophet and Democrat Truman as quite evil (I know there is very little difference between the 2 parties, however this fact stops right-wingers from claiming it's liberal propaganda), and it still contains very leftist views on the situation. Also, Republican McCain is portrayed in a good light.

Jarecki, the director, has found it hard to get this documentary on mainstream television in the US...
