The working class is the main motive power of the socialist revolution. It's mission is to free mankind from the exploitation and wars, class and national antagonisms, to lead the society to the wide highway of the communist progress.
During the class struggle proletariat organizes itself into the powerful social-political force, creates it's own political party, which is armed with the marxist-leninist theory, consolidate the international solidarity of the working people.
The working class is not alone in it's struggle for the socialism. Other layers of the working people are also interested in the victory of the new social system.
Lenin comprehensively developed the principal proposition of the marxist-leninist theory about peasantry, as the main allie of the working class, not only in the bourgeoise- democratical, but also in the socialist revolution.
Socialism answers the interests of the majority of the peasants, and this opens the opportunity for the working class to unite the peasantry and to lead it to the socialism.
Lenin saw the necessity in the union of the working class with none-proletariat allies- wide layers of the peasantry, petty bourgeoise class, intelligentsia and office workers. Capital exploits all of these layers. That is why the objective logic of the development of the capitalism, the intensification of it's antagonisms push and will push these masses to the proletariat, uniting them under the banner of the socialist revolution. The developing of the capitalism broadens it's social base. Lenin foresaw that socialist revolution may win in the countries, in which proletariat doesn't make the majority of the population, but leans on it's alies, together with whom it has the necessary preponderance.
Lenin protected the idea of the hegemony of the proletariat in the struggle for the democracy and socialism. Unlike the working class, it's allies take such a position in the system of the social production, which stipulate their inconsistency and hesitation in many questions of the class struggle. Only political leadership of the proletariat can unite the disconnected mass of the none-proletariat layers into the real political force of the socialist revolution, to bring in the confidence, fighting spirit and to make a strong organization.
The union of the working class with the peasants and other layers of the working people under the leadership of the proletariat- is one of the most important condition of the victory of the socialist revolution.
