View Full Version : Fox's New Propaganda Trend

I have noticed in the past few weeks Fox has shifted from the "Politics of Distraction" to a surpising strong anti-anarchist/socialist/union platform.

Now all they talk about is the "unruliness" and insulting the peace protesters such as ANSWER and UFPJ and others, and etc. Attacking various groups and people for saying things like 'Comparing our troops to Nazis", "Burning Effigies of US Soldiers", and then showing things such as signs of anarchist protests with the sign "No Gods, No Country, No Masters" clearly in view and etc.

They've also been saying things about Unions lately, such as "Unions are the #1 Threat to Jobs in America", even more so than Immigration they say, which is a abrupt propaganda shift. Also stuff about the American People being too "Unorderly" and "Lacking Discipline".

As Fox is very closely connected obviously with the US Goverment and/or capitalist/rightist interest groups, this could be an attempt to soften up the public before a govermental anti-revolutionary campaign.

That is at least what I'm guessing.

Good observation, but how can you say that this is a gov plan?

Also, can you provide proof for your association of Fox and the USG?

Such a campaign is already well underway- the Green Scare.

I'm not sure if you can make such a prediction based simply on the actions of one news corporation.

Fox News needs something new to rant about and the recent anti-war protests simply provide them with more material.

Yep. Tony Snow the current United States Press Secretary was a former news anchor for Fox news. Also take into Bush's first election and how Fox news was the first to report that Bush had won even before the final verdict had been drawn. This may not show direct links between Fox and the USG but it does show the fact that the two like to support each other.

Nah. Fox news treats the whole left as basically the same thing. From Anarchist and Communists to liberal to liberal moderates as basically all being in the same group. If your left..your bad. What fox is doing is using the far left (us) as weapons against the moderate left. Fox news knows that many Americans still distrust the far left greatly and that by associating us with them they reduce the support for the left with the moderates and just strengthen the rights hatred.

Attacking various groups and people for saying things like 'Comparing our troops to Nazis", "Burning Effigies of US Soldiers", and then showing things such as signs of anarchist protests with the sign "No Gods, No Country, No Masters" clearly in view and etc.

Your examples are perfect examples of what I'm talking about. They're all true...we do compare the troops to the Nazis at times, many anarchists do support the idea of no god, no country, no masters and again we do burn symbols of the American gov and military. If your a right wing person or religious wouldn't these articles make you distrust the left? Of course! By grouping all the left into one big mess the actions of the far left can be used to destroy the image of the moderate left and the far left at the same time. Its a simple tactic really.

Fox news, the government, and the right wing are waging a small anti-revolutionary campaign all the time. Its not that big though..since we have yet become a big enough threat that they need to openly start attacking us (the red scare would be a case in which we were viewed as a threat). The current increase in attacks on the left is just something to discredit the moderate left and thus weaken the strength during the elections. Look at all the Hillary and Obama articles on fox news and you'll see what I mean.

I have no proof at all about the Fox-USG connection, but think; the US goverment has no outlet to spread information, but any smart ruler would obviously need a way to spread information he likes; if he doesnt, hes a idiot because informations quite powerful. The US Capitalists and Politicians aren't idiots; they must at least feed some information to Fox, but I doubt its a "Conspiracy Connection" or something like that.

Actually I compiled a list of suspcisious actions in March that seem to me unusual, Obviously not all of them mean something special but just suspicions;

-March 17th – 19th; ANSWER Coalition Protests Nationwide, March 19th Student Riots; Workers World and Party for Liberation and Socialism; Mass-Crackdown; Hundreds of Arrests; People told “If you go near that demonstration we are going to have to arrest you”.

-January 2007 – Now; Dozens of Companies doing mass-layoffs; Chrysler, Standard Life, General Motors, Motorola, General Electric, etc. Tens of Thousands Fired.

-March 2007; Stock Market Falling Enormously; Economic Recession. Stocks generally falling consistently while Oil + Gold Rises fast.

-March 2007; Fox News Propaganda Reversal; “Unions are the #1 Threat to Jobs in America”, “If someone said this in any other country in the world they would be arrested; why not here?”; “These people are too unruly, this is caused by a lack of discipline in America” (Shows Anarchist Protests); “Why does she (Protest Leader) hate America so much?”; Anti-Revolutionary-Leftist/Communist Stance

-March 23rd 2007; CPUSA Donates its Party Archives “Without reviewing the contents” to the NYU State University. They are basically just giving all the boxes of papers to the university just as a "donation".

-March 2007; Khalid Shaikh Mohammed confesses to 9/11 Bombing along with “30 other terror attacks or plots” (NY Times 3/15/07). Confessed to Military Tribunal at Guantalemo Bay. ‘Planned Assasination attempts against former presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton and Pope John Paul II” (Ibid) “He said he directed Al Quada attempts to develop Biological Weapons.” “Took Responsibility for the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and the bombing of a nightclub in Bali.” “Among his targets, he said, were buildings in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York; the New York Stock Exchange; the Panama Canal; British landmarks including Big Ben; Israeli and U.S. embassies; and assassination attempts against Carter, Clinton and Pope John Paul II.”(Ibid) And Pakistini President Pervez_Musharraf. Called “Superterrorist”. CIA said he “Lasted the longest under Water boarding (Torture); Two and a half minutes” (BBC).

-March 6th 2007; Government ICE raided and arrested 361 Factory Workers in Massachusetes “Michael Bicano Inc.” Factory.

What I see is:

1. Perhaps using the Communist Archives for a reason; they are going on FULL Display; nothings confidential. False Links to be created perhaps? Supposed "Communist-Islam-Muslim Plot" as a pretext to crackdown. The massive arrests say something already.

2. Muslim Terrorist Confessions. - They are totally insane confessions. He confesses to basically everything that ever happened to the US in the past 30 years. He was tortured too. This will be used as a pretext for some kind of crackdown.

3. Caused perhaps by the declining economic standard of America along with another housing crisis.

4. Juicing up (or at least attempting to) Public to support or at least not openly rebel against these things.

Just my Idea

Hmm...Perhaps your right, but who knows when its just a beef-up and when its an actual attempt to purge American Society. I guess we'll see
