I'm looking for some videos about the former eastern bloc , predominantly about the U.S.S.R , GDR , Hungary ect . I've heard all the negative propaganda there is to know , I'd like to watch a video from a supporting , positive , socialist , point of view . I'd be mostly interested in seeing the changes that took place when the east european countries abolished capitalism , from the point of view of someone who supported these changes .

P.S : Please dont post video links that point the former eastern bloc in negative colors , I've honestly heard all the negative info there is to know from 12 years of schooling . I'd like to see the opposite point of view .

What positive light? The economies of these countries were in shambles, the workers did not have any control of the means of production, and Moscow told them what to do. Repression was also pretty intense; East Germany had so manya Stasi spies that citizens lived in perpetual paranoia.

I dug up this little gem (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trabant) to show you the wonders of East German automobile manufacturing.

By the way, there is no need to have huge pictures on every post you make.

I heard from many people who lived in the former eastern block , that all that repression and economy shamble stuff is just nonsense . They say that life in the eastern bloc was the harshest in the 1950's . Then how come the generation that lived in those years is the most communist supporting one ? The economy of eastern european countries was in shambles after their industries were looted and tunneled in 1989 . The same capitalists who talk about the bad eastern european economy and repression before 1989 are the same ones who claim that there is a building of democracy in Iraq , and the list goes on for eternity . Didn't you notice that when a country turns anti-capitalist , the capitalists always mumble about repression of human rights and "bad economy " ? They say that communist economies dont work but the highest economy growth by far was reached by the U.S.S.R in the 1920-1930's . I know that eastern european countries had huge sporting funds , social benefits , helped develop industries and infrastructure in revolutionary countries like Cuba , Vietnam . If their economies were really in shambles , they wouldnt be able to afford these things . Look at the lies the cappies are saying about today's world ... how can anyone trust their propaganda . You can never take one side as true without researching the other side .

The workers in the former eastern bloc had more control than in any capitalist countries . People voted representatives to assemblies , and even enemies of the state were given free healthcare . If the communists in the former Soviet bloc were so repressive , than how come the main "dissident" in CSSR had a Mercedes Benz , a car more luxurious than any communist official in the country . How come the dissidents like Havel , and Walesa , were not killed or locked up for life if the regime was so repressive ? The same people that say the Stasi were an evil repressive force call the looting and tunneling of eastern european countries in 1989 "democracy " . Thus , their info about the Stasi and KGB has almost no credibility for me . None of them ever mentions the sabotages against the GDR by the CIA and the FGR which provoked the Berlin Wall . :) That's why I want to see some videos from the other side .

The governments of the former eastern block were easily infiltrated by capitalists such as Dubchek in the CSSR in 1968 ( one who praised the today's ruling czech party (sionist party rather ) and Gorbachev . If the countries had repressive regimes , how come these capitalists were able to get to top positions ? The capitalist propaganda doesnt add up . By 1989 , most of the communists were capitalists who infiltrated the party and just changed cloaks , like Angela Merkel , and others . Why didnt these repressive regimes use military force in 1989 like the Chinese in Tiananmen ? Iif the people were really tortured in "concentration" camps in the Soviet bloc , then after 1989 , western cameramen and photographers , would enter these "concentration camps " and show the whole world the "torture " . ( I'm denying Stalin's gulags , those existed all right )http://www.davestrains.com/photos/sickle9.gifhttp://www.benbest.com/polecon/hamsicl.gif
