Here's an idea: writing on money.
I've been writing simple messages on all the bills that come into my possession. It's a great way to spread a message. Blue or Red inks are the most noticible ;)
I just put simple messages: "STOP THE WAR" "IMPEACH"
This little thing takes very little time and it will garuntee that people will continue to pass the message on. No one is going to refuse money.
If you want to be really efficient, or you have a lot of bills that pass by you, a rubber stamp would always work too! It just might be a little suspicious if you pay for something and every bill has the same political message on it.

Is this thread just meant for listing of simple things to do in your everyday life? Well, if it is, here are some things to do:
Graffiti bathroom walls with political messages
-Keep the messages simple and easy to understand
...Actually, that's all I can think of for now.

Print and make a zine,
Wheat paste flyers
Organize 'free markets',

If for whatever reason I'm tied back from any real activism because of the circumstances I face, then I am glad that I can help working class brothers and sisters see the world for what it is. I also love writing essays because I can then take the opportunity to shit on capitalism.

i saw that at the DC protests
if you want to just do some small everyday things, make small stencils (about 8 by 11 inches) and spraypaint them in places that lots of people will see throughout the day but arent big enough to get attention from cleaning crews and pigs. that sort of stenciling provides a concise message that is easy and fast to do.

Put "out of order" signs on vending machines.
Chalk up sidewalks.
Make a garden shaped like a H&S in front of a big company.

since today is the 4th anniversary of the war I thought about making some 5 or 10 signs and then going around and putting them in people's yards tonight.
stuff like "U.S. out of Iraq" "Stop U.S. Imperialism" "End Middle East occupation"

Good idea. If I see another yellow ribbon, I'm gonna go out with a can of red spray and fix it, along with the garage door, which is a good, fun project.

last week i found a heap of bird seed in a dumpster and was contemplating some sort of "indirect vandalism" by putting the seed in some area to get the birds to shit all over the place. i ended up accidentally leaving the seed at a bus stop though. but it could be an idea for a "simple action you can do every day".

I put a bag on my head on the bus and began to act out impromtu street theatre. I took on the role of a Guantanamo detainee. I don't think it worked.

Graffiti is definately a good form of easy action you can do yourself because it challenges the concept of private property and sends hope to other likeminded individuals in your area that they are not alone.
Another good thing you can do is to keep yourself in good shape and learn a martial art to increase your preparedness to fight in a revolutionary guerilla war

Everyday things that are also important are to reduce what you buy as much as possible, and cut down on water and electricity usage. Recyle. I know most people on here do it anyway, but the impact little things have is huge. And I'm not talking about shutting down major corporations. I'm talking about reducing costs and energy consumption. Here is just a table I found of the estimated energy consumption (kw/h) of some household appliances and how many tonnes of Co2 they produce: (the top is kw/h and the bottom is tonnes)

Try to talk to people on the bus or at the busstop , ... and try to change the subject to a political discussion , let them see what you stand for and try to convince them. I also discuss with my techers in class so everyone can hear what is said by the teacher. If i can't convince the teachers at least the whole class will usually follow me ...

Another thing you could do is cross out "God" on the "In God We Trust" bit of any bill you come across.

A better one for vending machines is simply to pull out the plug. Maybe like make sure noone notices, but usually it is pretty easy to get them out. I reckon like 70-80% of them are simple enough to just pull out, otherwise they have weird industrial type secure powerpoints.
Also trying to fuck up other corporate money machines like train ticket machines or parking ticket meters or whatever. You can be inventive on how to do it, as I've heard of battery acid used on train ticket machines inwhich the money proceeded to come out.

This is very fun.
I chalked up the neighborhood skatepark in the middle of the night, and all over downtown Reno too.
Simple little messages, sometime humorous.
"Peter Pan was a revolutionary"
"Young Til I die"
"Break free, Abolish Capitalism"
"Live Free"
etc. etc.

Go behind fast food businesses, and you'll see a gas meter in the back. It's metal, it's got two pipers, one (usually) into the ground, and one into the wall. It'll have a little knob-like delio on the one going into the ground. If it's going in the sae direction as the pipe, turn it the other way with a wrench or pliers. This will turn off their cookers. They of course, won't realise this for about twenty minutes, so you'll have time to get away.
This loses them business, sends a little message, and provides easy work for the repair man that comes only to find that he just has to turn the knob.

But comrade, that means that workers don't get paid, and ultimately hurts them.

As afar as i understand fast food workers dont get paid by the hamburger...
I do beleive they get paid by the hour of just being there, so long as the manager thinks they are doing their job. So if they cant do their job cause the thingie is broken its hardly their fault, so they dont not get paid.
no?

No, they still get paid and a repair guy gets paid to boot, at the corporation's expense. Everybody wins.

Oh. I was thinking along the lines that it would close down the restaurant and workers would not be able to work. Ok then.

Stick up posters and shit when ever you can, I stuck up some protest signs around the school a couple weeks ago. It's fun and it works. Just don't get caught.
