maybe this movie try to tell us how bad is the effect of nuclear and radioactive to a living being, just maybe. :P

but this is a great movie though, when i watch the first movie, i think this movie is awesome and entertaining, and i was expecting and wondering if Wes Craven would made a sequel of this, and so my long expecting are fullfilled, though i just have seen the trailer, and i can't wait to see this movie at the theater.

anyone like this kind of movie?

You are not alone, my friend. I am a certified gore hound when it comes to horror movies. The Hills Have Eyes is one of the bloodiest movies I’ve ever seen, right up there with Ichi the Killer and Dead Alive. The second one had better be good, and even bloodier. I’m hoping this will take a “Saw” route, and get more messed up with each consecutive movie.

Ok, a little more ranting about the film.

It is a bleak film in which a middle-class family comes into conflict with a group of aggressive mutant cannibals. Now, the good American nuclear (no pun intended) bourgeois conservative family has to face the underbelly of the world they loved and supported. For me, it’s no different than a group of good, church-going American Republicans being shipped of to Nicaragua and seeing the children working in sweatshops to make the goods they buy. They see the ugliness face-to-face now, created by the nuclear tests of their own government. But maybe that’s just me, and I think too much.

I was cheering for the mutants the whole time. I'll do so again in the second one.

Dont mean to be a downer for my first post, but i honestly couldn't stand the first movie. for the first hour and a bit i was pissed as ass cause the "good guys" were gettin wrecked (actually now that i think of it, i was mainly pissed i never got to see someone wreck things with the crazy magnum). Anyway, i thought the last, 20 minutes maybe, were the craziest most kick ass of any horror movie i have ever seen. i may sound like a bit of a downer about the movie, but Im still going to see the next one, i cant wait to see how the mutants outsmart (or just plain out mutilate) those GIs.
