Well, remember that in the reichstag fire historians aren't really exactly sure who did it. However, Nazi members blamed communist and jews for it. There are theories that it could have been done by Nazis. However, thats not the real point of the relevance of reichstag. The real point of the whole fire incident was what affect it had. The reichstag fire caused the government to use a special clause to the constitution that gave power to the executive members like the chancellor, etc.

In the end this power was transferred over to the nazis and than totalitarian Nazi Germany came into existence.

The point of similarity between reichstag and 9/11 was that the US government began to intorduce invasive (as in boderline illegal invasion of privacy to outright illegal invasion of privacy) security laws, developed the office of homeland security, etc.

I hope this info can get you in the right start. The reason why the other comrade told you to fuck off was that probability that you might make your page filled with conspiracy theories and such. So to translate his message into softer words: I advise to not use conspiracy theories on you paper or make them a small side-note instead of making the paper based only on conspiracy theories.

lol ahh i was wondering should i even be here.. after i seen that, and what you posted about intrusiveness will be included i outlined that in an earlier paper for german class. anything i write only has facts and presents an unbiased side

This remains to me one of the dumbest arguments ever. While I believe in socialist revolution, that doesn't mean I put blinders on and jump an any bandwaggon that endorses cappie conspiracy.

If there is a United States Government within and working secretly and apart from the United States Government, and they are filled with Neo-Cons, Masons, members of the Trilateral Commission, and Oliver North working (these days) in the basement of the Woolworth Five and Dime.

I won't tell anyone to F--- Off and Die, but I will say that IF 9-11's purpose was to make America accept facsism, BOY DID THAT FAIL ON LEVELS YOU CAN'T IMAGINE.

Americans did not alter the Constitution to allow for a President for life, and the Patriot Act I and II, as bad as they are, don't come close to Hitler in 1934/35. In fact, I don't think Hitler ever worried about being impeached, or did his poll numbers show he sucked big time as in the case of President Bush.
