I'm making a RCP flag. It's red with a white star in the middle that has RCP in black letters. painting the star on the red cloth doesn't work so I got white clothe. I don't want to sew the star on so what should I do? I'm thinking glue but I don't know what type I should use

I'm not sure which glue but i'd recommend some fabric paint. It usually works really well.
other than fabric paint or sewing it on, the only think i can recommend is that strip stuff you can buy in fabric shops which i've forgotten the name of - basically you lay it between the fabric you want to stick and then iron it. but I think, like glue, after a while it'd start to come up at the corners etc.

ummmm....i havent tryed this....but i heard it wokrs....you take some of that food rap....the kind your mom puts on the leftover meat loaf.....and dubble or tripple layer the stuff on its self then cut it to fit the star and put it between the flag and the star and iron it....it should work like a iron on patch.....but i havent tryed this yet....

I have a sort of glue I allways use for fabric, I don't know it's name, but you aplly it on both sides, let it dry and then squeeze both parts firmly together.
all-glue or something like that, works really well.

alright I'll go to an art store or something and try to find some fabric glue or fabric paint. Yippie, thanks for the idea, but I have a phobia that the sticky wrap will get ironed on to the iron or something like that

no no, don't get the ironing stuff, seriously, the thing I use for patches will last a lifetime (unless you drag through mud and get beer on it on a weekly basis ;) )
I think it's just superglue or something

You can also try spraypainting. I don't know how long it lasts but our RCP has many flags and large murals painted with spraypaint on fabric...

i'd like to make an anarcha-feminist star and would be happy to sew it onto a flag, but does anyone have any ideas as to how i should draw the star other than freehand or overhead? i'd like it to be maybe 2 feet in diameter?

yo, anarchy_oi
maybe by printing over a number of A4 pieces of paper then stick em together to make a big template/stencil.
and then use that as a guide to cut out the sections. or another thing could be to cut out a half of it and use it to stencil on the purple and black onto the material.
