what do you peeps think are good political songs by usually apolitical artists?
what do you think about it in general?, because sometimes they talk about stuff in their songs without really knowing the story behind it

anyway, here is a few political songs by usually i apolitical artists i liked:

KRS is one my favs, most of his recent stuff is deep and mad nice
Rakim has some strong joints that are political, but I forget their names
Ras Kass' first album was pretty political (Soul On Ice)
And of course, Blackstar (Mos Def and Talib Kweli)

Rakim made one about the 1st gulf war i heard, in it he takes the position of a soldier who finds out the real enemy is America and he attacks his sergant.

Illmatic by Nas was political at times too

i heard Yo-Yo's song I Cant Take No More the other day she raps about her relationship with an abusive boyfriend and how hard it is to leave him without beeing all cliche.
