I'm pretty sure im confused between Nationalizing a countries Natural Resources, Companies and such things. With The political ideology of Nationalism. I mean this two.. do they go hand in hand? or are they totally different?

Normally I hear praises when a certain countries government Nationalizes its industries and resources.. like Cuba did. and how Venezuela is doing. It seems like its necessary so that a country can have control over them and keep foreign policy out? right?

However Nationalism also reminds me of the Nazis.. wasn't this their ideology? and Nationalism to me also seems to contradict communism? since Nationalism praises the state, and wants it to exist right? as opposed to communism. now tell me if i got this right...

The Nationalizing of a countries resources and industries is necessary as a step towards socialism and eventually for workers control? But this "nationalism' notion has to be STOPED before it turns into something similar to Nazi germany, or Francos Spain???? or Stalins USSR? am i completely confused or what???

Nationalization really does'nt have to do with Nationalism, the concept behind it is that the State represents the people, and thus Nationalization of industries and resources puts them in control of the people (indirectly).

Fascists did'nt nationalize for the most part, they subsidiesed a lot and threw a lot of support around local Capitalists.

Nationalism is the concenpt of support and pride for your own nation, which basically is a type of predjudice because it leads to a superiority complex.

The 2 are not really related.
