Did anyone see* The Motorcycle Diaries...

I had seen the movie a while back, but it still ranks one of the better films in my top movies. I am re-reading the book though just cause I love Guevara's innocence in the story. If you have read it, you'll understand what I mean when I mention the part about the drunken officer. That part had me laughing haha.

Yeah, you can also see the innocence in the movie.
And actually, it's a bit of a funny movie. ^^

What about the book? I hear it's actually a bad read...is that true? How was the movie? I haven't seen or read either, although I know all about them.

As in everything, (apart from novelisations) the book is far better than the film, even if it has no lovely lovely Gael. The film missed some of the funniest bits such as the night of violent diarrhoea, shitting off the balcony at night and waking to find a corrugated iron roof with sun-drying apricots on. Also, it turns Che's compassion into nauseating sentimentality.

Watched the movie, and have a copy of the book... but you know... its not "great".
