Most technology being researched and in existence benefits big industries, government, and military. How about productive individualistic technology? Such technology does not exist because we are not supposed to be making things, we are supposed to buy things.

If we had such technology the centralization of production will be unnecessary because people will produce for themselves on a individual and communal level. The only job of a democratic central authority will be the utilization and distribution of raw resources.

And is there such a thing as open source technology like the free software movement?
