I happen to wonder why this harmless drug, to ones self and society as a whole. there is a lot of false information being presented to us, like the commercials that claim if your buyin weed, you support terror. anybody else here feel that we should try to legalize marijuana, as once tried before in the u.s. history....

Alcohol was once treated as marijuana is now, but once the government realized they couldnt win the fight against boot-leggers and organized crime, they gave in and legalized it again. Once we get someone in power who understands that the war on drugs is just a fucking toilet for american tax dollars, we will see less restrictions on marijuana, not fully legalized, but maybe legal in small amounts.

If they do fully legalize it though, it will end up like tobacco. It will have addictive additives and what have you.

Actually weed is not a huge supporter of anything but the munchies. However the commercials aren't that of on real drug's, it's a known fact that certain groups fund their actions by selling drugs, this does not in my opinion include weed here's why. In recent years the traffiking of weed to the US has dramatically decreased. Weed is a very difficult good to smuggle in and in order to make a substantial profit one must bring in a large amount, which has brought on many bust for the Narcos.
They would rather bring in a couple ounces of coke which has the equal street value of weed, and at a less likely hood of being caught. This in turn has created a new market of pot growers in the US, which in fact has raised the standard of buds all over the world. These cool scientist have altered the starnds and produced stronger highs as well as more mellow ones. So dont buy into the whole weed is a drug it's not. It's a natural stimulant. Or in other ways it's natures way of saying hello!

all drugs are bad, however the policy against marijuana is quite frankly absurd. the main reason for why it is illegal it is because it threatens the paper and logging industry, something i have learned much greater in the last couple of weeks.

Marijuana was banned in 37' by Du Pont, logging companies, and tabacco barons because a new machine that could harvest marijuana quickly was invented. This didn't settle in well, and the logging companies and tobacco companies made sure it was banned to prevent it from making them go out of business.

man, marijuana, i do not support it, i don't support any drugs that's why i'm part of the straight edge brethren... but i will say this, how many deaths are caused from marijuana, and then how many deaths are due to alcohol or tobacco related illnesses? i think you know which is higher, and you know why? the imperialistic united states was born on the back of tobacco. and alcohol, how can you ban it? it's a good taxable drug. so the U S A won't. that's why it's fucked up, see the US would be winning the battle if the taxed the shit out of drugs like weed and all them others, but the U S A is dumber than a 15 year old...

Marijuana is like ne drug, when taken in large doses can be fatal, when taken in the correct manner or less harmful manner can be not harmful at all or minimal. Uneducation is the 1 reason why Marijuana has caused deaths or illness, if users were educated in the correct usage and dosage the rate would drop, but we wouldn't wanna waste money on that would we now???

there are something like 50,000 uses for pot apart from smoking. The only reson it was banned was because the head of the cotton growers industry became head of teh narcotics board. But pot isn;t totaly safe at all, drug induced comas, skitzofrenia and memory loss are all side effects. As for addiction to it, my cousin is a stoner, not a big one, but one all the same, and after seeing his withdrawals dont u tell me it aint addictive...oh yer, and it can cause depression....but hey, everything in moderation ;-)

weed isnt adictive at all, well i guess it depends on the person...but fuck some people are adicted to bread. i used to smoke alot of pot, and one day i got sick of it, and didnt smoke for like 3months, i didnt feel any cravings or "withdrawl" the only problem with weed is that it lowers your immune system, so its easier to catch things if your high. yes it can induce depression, but only if your already depressed, it just exagurates feelings you already have.

Although I would legalise weed if I had the power, I have to disagree that it is harmless, as pseudo christ has said it does result in memory loss (short term) but it also contains a higher percentage of tar than tobbaco and therefore there is a higher risk or contracting lung cancer from smojking it.

Its all about usage and dosage. Caffeine is more dangerous then Marijuana, and we consume that everyday (Coke, Coffee, Chocolate etc...)

I don't believe that it is an entirely harmless drug but it's better that just pure tobbacco. It's been decriminalised, now to lagalise it! This is in the U.K anyway. People fear it because they've never tried it. If they knew how harmless it is it would've been legal 10 years ago!

It's a fairly harmless drug for mot people, I stopped smoking it cause it gave me huge anxiety problems, I was was anxious all the time. I had scoial anxiety, and depression. I stopped smokingand these problems gradually died down - so yes for me it had really bad efects, most people don't seem to have that though. For some people alcohol makes them into raging lanatics who go beat people up, for me I just get more social and have a good time, so they effect people differently. That isn't reason to ban it, it never does any harm to society.
