You've all seen the threads where people write a story and each person writes a certain amount of words, right?

Well, this thread takes that idea and uses it for poetry. What happens is that you post a four-line verse that goes with the one posted before yours. As long as it makes sense when you read the entire poem, it should work.

I'll start off -

Yesterday's rain won't come back no more,
Our day's sun warms us, kisses our faces with great love,
The system crashed and we were the tree,
The rulers died and we were the bullet

organised on a website we most definately were
hoping for a revolution, though we never did stirr
then our computers crashed, we had nothing to do
looking at the black screen, feeling all blue

Inhale deep like the words of my breath
I never sleep, cause sleep is the cousin of death
I lay puzzle as I backtrack to earlier times
Nothing's equivalent, to the new york state of mind
