Internet radio station

hey guys ive been looking to start my own internet radio station off my laptop containing leftist politics and music i was wondering if anyone knows of any good and free sites to download software
p.s. im not looking for one thats on a host site like shoutcast or whatever

i don't know about internet radio, but making podcasts are easier. You just need Audacity (google it-its free), a microphone to talk into, and material (discussion, music, etc.).
