what in the world makes anyone here think that the Aryan Brotherhood and Mexican Mafia will 'adapt' to the new socialist life style.. and what should be done with them?

I think that is a problem that needs to be addressed within the transition from Capitalism to Communism. I don't think the problems of racial discrimination will go away, but gangs will. During the period when the transition is being made, I think those are going to be the hardest years because of how much society will change, but over time, gangs and mafia will slowly fade away.

This is so because The Mexican Mafia(or any mafia) is out to make money by slanging or ransoms. When there is no money or money is not an issue, there is no driving force for the mafia to stay alive. However, I believe the mafia wouldn't like anyone changing the system because of how easily they can manipulate it so I think they will probably help the bourgeois.

The Aryan brotherhood on the other hand is kinda different I would imagine because it seems as if their goal is to spread a message of white pride and racial discrimination. I really don't know about them.

good question, Marx believes that the current consciousness of human beings is in turn the result of their life expirience, in a sense this is true... if you take the baby of an Aryan Brotherhood , and they grow under a Jewish family, guess what? The baby will be Jewish.....

the thing is, that i don't understand how the transition from capitalism to communism will somehow change the consciousness of racist people or homophobes, or just biggots in general.....sometimes there are just biological factors that determine a person's personality regardless of their surroundings you know what i mean..So R_P_A_S has a good point...which also leads to the question of, how will serial killers or rapist be "captured", "tried", "persecuted", etc.. under a communist society if there is no police etc.. which in turn makes me think that in fact if there is no police force to keep these type of people in check, maybe gangs will be just as normal or even more than they are today in order for protection.

Communism requires progressive people in order to ensure its success. After all, if workers are racist, how can an international movement develop? Thus, I would think that by the time of the revolution, much of racism and homophobia would've been eliminated and any such remaining sentiments would be gone by the time of a post-revolutionary society.

There are still laws and there will still be enforcement of them but by the community itself.

Well, I think it wont be quite as much a question of whether or not they want to adjust to a new lifestyle as much as they have to. If drugs are legalized, jurisprudence completely reformed and wage-labor abolished, I have a hard time seeing how they could continue with their current activities. Chances are that any criminal org like this would "die out" (stop attracting new members) within a generation or two.

But isn't this problematic? How can the community enforce laws? Is this like people taking the law into their own hands? Who will have the expirience? Who will look for the facts, who will look for evidence?

Who in the community will enforce these laws? Will he than have a higher status than others?

I mean i don't know, this is still one part of communism that has be wondering and wondering. Sometimes iv heard that there will be a small police force....but this would be like a Clockwork Orange or something lol

Can you please explain? thank you

The Mexican Mafia is'nt a Mafia, its a prison Gang, I think when the prison system is done away with, and other institutions that de-humanize people, so will the violence that goes along with it. Most of these Gangs are organized racially, but also most of the members arn't generally racist, I don't think its an important question at all. A lot of the racism and violence feed each other, the more violence, the more racism, both ways, as the system and its institutions fade so will the attitudes that belong to it. People are not innately racist or hateful.
