On Andersons Che, Che is brown, although it is fact that he is white? Whats your theory on this?

Who gives a shit, obviously he wasn't as light as some Anglo-Saxxon guy, but he wasn't as Dark as a black guy.

Who cares. Perhapes they wanted to show he was a person of color

Does his colour really matter? this is beside the point but... I have a latino friend who is quite light in skin tone but after a couple of days in the sun his skin darkens to a deep brown. Maybe Anderson was picturing Che when he had a nice tan or something. I don't know, just a thought.

Most of the pictures I've seen of Che were scarlet red. I'm kinda glad he was actually a nice brown color.

I'm not sure I'd say he wasn't as light as some Anglo-Saxon guy. Che had pretty light skin, not much of a surprise for someone who is half Irish. I think they made his skin brown on the cover to show his appeal to people of all ethnic groups. It's interesting, I think it was in the last chapter of Anderson's book where he talks about how that famous image of Che is changed in different countries. I saw, and clipped, a photo from the NY Times a year and a half ago showing a Bolivian coca grower protesting government attacks on the coca industry at a road side, holding a picket sign with Che Guevara on it. However, he had been made to look somewhat Asiatic/Indigenous by changing slightly the shape of his eyes.

Hey Che awsome post! I think your right, Che's image has become something to everyone a Christ if you will, he fit's the need's of the people and their culture. Fricken cool man. So in essence the man who he was is lost in what his image has become.
