David Rovics (http://www.davidrovics.com/) is a great folksinger. When I met him at an IWW benefit show, he put on a great show. He did songs such as "The Saint Patrick's Battallion" and "Drink of the Death Squads" and even covered "The Internationale", "The Union Maid" and "Solidarty Forever".

Over all, he was a great person to talk to. The next day he went to Madison, WI and dedicated his song "Oppositional Defiance Disorder" to me. Of all the folk musicians around today he is my favorite. (Closely folowed by Utah Philips, who I met last May Day)

I highly recomend that you check out the David Rovics album "Haliburton Boardroom Massacre" Which incorperates a more folk-rock sound.

I've heard a couple of songs, he's okay. I didn't like Drink of the Death Squads all that much, but I like Behind the Barricades (me, the ol' sop ;) ). Couldn't find The Saint Patrick's Batallion, though :(

I've heard quite a lot of his music and it is quite good, although there are a few which aren't so good.
