i really like this che picture even though i got it from an anti-che website. its supposed to represent all the "victims of che", but i like to interpret as a way of showing that while he is physically dead, he continues to inspire revolutionaries. plus, it looks badass.

Shit, i fucked up my quote.

I was meant to be quoting that image, not your username!!! Sorry for the confusion.

The reason for comment, in that picture che looks really pale, is wearing bright green and has ginger hair, i.e. super steretypical irish revolutionary.

That's like taking a swatsika and being like, "i know i got it from a neo-nazi site, but it used to be a ancient hindu peace sign which inspired people." Your image is clearly meant to go along the fucked up line of "communism is dead"

Actually the NAZI swastika points to the right, the Tibetan sign for piece points to the left.

I agree with you, Che Lives and this pic is clearly saying that he's dead, or that the whole idea of communism is dead, which is NOT, i don't like it...

But no, he is dead, really, he died in 1967.

So does Che being dead mean that the whole idea of communism is dead to you? Can communism really be reduced to one man?

Communism is born out of the actions of the working class, not individual heroes, holy parties or immortal martyrs.

This is my favorite che image.

A sort of detournement mocking the already recuperated image of Che.

che is a communism symbol, right? this means he is a symbol of the idea if he is shown like that it's like the idea lies with the skeletons if you get what i mean...and i never said that the idea is the man
when i say che is alive i say it 'cause that's how i feel, he still lives in those who fight for the revolution

che is a communism symbol, right?

Well... no, he is not in my opinion.

this means he is a symbol of the idea if he is shown like that it's like the idea lies with skeleton if you get what i mean...

Again, I don't. Communism is not a "nice idea"; it is a material necessity born out of the class society we live in which is leading us into barbarism; specifically something born out of the independent movement of the working class. In no sense can communism, or the working class, be reduced to be symbolized in the form of an individual person.

when i say che is alive i say it 'cause that's how i feel, he still lives in those who fight for the revolution

This seems like a metaphysical approach to me. The exalting of "martyrs" is a common phenomenon in the "left" (it is also a common phenomenon in religion with the glorification of saints), yet I don't think that it is an healthy one. Communists struggle with and in their class and therefore for their class; we don't really have anyone living in us. We are fighting for a better life ourselves; revolution or communism is not a belief.

it is not metaphysical or whatever I'm a materialist there's not higher power or life after death or anything like that but i believe in people and i think that's not wrong, my granpa was a rebel and he fought in the WW2 and the greek civil war and he was exiled for 5 years he's been through a lot still he never denied his beliefs, he's a symbol for me not only of communism, a symbol of courage and self-denial, just like Che and if you do not agree i will not argue... lie with the skeletons whatever...
