Do any of you remember last year where students walked out against unjust immigration laws? I was one of them. As a child born in a family of illegals, the law hit hard. I was just wondering how any of you felt.

Pretty much almost everyone here supported the action. I, for one, skipped out on classes and went to the march. Pretty much everyone here is completely against the criminalization and violence that illegal immigrants face in the US. We support the working class as a whole and are against the seperation and antagonisms that the ruling class creates between working people based on their nationality or ethnicity. Keep reading here comrade, I think you'll find it enlightening!

I was at the May Day protests in Chicago supporting the immigrants, and celebrating workers day.

Yeah I organized the walkout on tuesday, at my school in Dallas. We got the whole school excited, but sadly they were all talk and only thirteen of us walked out of my school.

Milwaukee had a nice crowd as well, though we couldn't compare to Chicago (who I think had 500,000+, which is pretty much the entire population of Milwaukee!).

Well it was sort of the biggest May Day in the US in probably 80+ years, several million people marched, walked-out of schools and went on strike for the day, most of them poor illegal immigrants, it was also a huge topic of discussion on this board so I thought you may have heard of it. :P

A lot of people attended the protest or at least supported it in one way or another.
