I've recently stumbled across Anwar M. Shaikh's article The Empirical Strength of the Labour Theory of Value (Link (http://homepage.newschool.edu/~AShaikh/labthvalue.pdf)). I was wondering if anyone else has heard of either Anwar Shaikh, this particular work, or any of his other works. Has he written anything else on the subject? I can't seem to find any more information on that.

Anwar Shaikh is a Pakistani economist, if I'm not wrong.

Yes, I've actually gone through the paper you mention above. Shaikh has done us all a great favor by providing extensive empirical evidence of the Labor Theory of Value.

You can find other stuff by him on the Net...its not all that hard, really.

If you look around a bit you can find much on Shaikh and other defense of the LTV at the excellent OPE-List: http://ricardo.ecn.wfu.edu/~cottrell/OPE/archive/
