Failing that, you could get a big beanie and just cut eye-holes etc.

In response to Black Dagger's comments about simply buying one. I tried that. I looked everywhere. Eventually Chris bought on for me (good on you man!), otherwise I wouldn't have one today.

I read that thread, and saw several references to police supply stores. Are these places common in US?

Try army disposal or camping/'adventure' stores - they're much easier to find.
