A Chairde,
Once again republicans and socialists find the road to a democratic solution in Ireland blocked. The cul-de-sac of the Belfast Agreement not only betrayed the sacrifice and heroic struggle waged by the Irish people; it fails to even address the core issue in contention: the right of the Irish people to sovereignity and self-determination, completely free of outside intervention or sabatoge.
We have launched this website with the hope that it will contribute to a new path forward for republicans and republican socialists. As Ta Power instructed us, it is an effort to 'attempt to understand the past, so that we may analyse the present, in order to influence the future.' An invitation is hereby extended to any individuals or organisations that would endeavour to assist us- except the British occupiers or their agents.
Once again British misrule in Ireland has proven itself to be a complete failure. It ranks as one of the greatest crimes in history, and yet after so many years of occupation it still cannot produce stability, let alone peace.
There is no alternative but for the working class of Ireland to pick up the pieces and reconstruct the movement to break the connection with the English crown and build the workers' republic.
