If communism is an evolution of Socialism are we really ready to give up everything for the utopian world of communism? I can't say I am that evolved yet are you?
I doubt that anyone is ready. It is not simply a case of becoming ready at once specific moment, it will only happen over time. And as for a utopian society, that will never exist because human beings are not perfect.

Anarchism will come before Communism, simply because there is too much compulsion and authoritarian tactics under a Communist govt.

What do we have to give up? Communism doesn't mean we all have to go around in loin clothes. The US is an immensely rich country, and I don't think during either the socialist or communist stages of society we'll have to give up much, if anything.

If you want to be a communist read. Read about what communism is. Better yet, first read and then decide. That way you wont say folish stuff all the time, and you`ll at least know what your talking about.
Anarchism will come after Communism Menshevik, not before.

communism is defined as a stage developing out of socialism samaniego, you are right. But we should consider our efforts toward building the first stage of socialism, not worrying about our abillity to cope with 'utopia'.

Zapatasguns, you're right, it was a misprint on my part; I just think that at this stage, from what the world has experienced with Communism, Anarchism is a more likely end than Communism. Too many people associate Communism with "bad things" so I just don't see it in the cards presently.
Any form of leftist theory is seen as 'bad'. Just look at what the word 'anarchy' has come to represent. People seem to think that in an anarchist society everyone just kills each other and steals whenever they like.

You can change peoples' minds about Anarchy because no one has really experienced it, but the Cold War, Vietnam--they ruined the image of Communism forever.

Che, how will the Proletariat, become conscious, if he is to tired to read, from along day at work? How then will he ever bring on a social revolution?

the workers have lives after work, I doubt that they would be to tired to read. To tired to act, maybe. But in their spare time they will become concious then eventually they will act.

Lardlad I in no way write this to offend you, but have you ever had a job? And I dont mean a desk job. I am talking about a job where you sweat, and bust your ass all day. Like farm workers, garderners, and factory workers, etc. How are they not going to be tired? Of course a person does have a life out side of work only to get ready to go back to it.

That's one of the reason's why Che's writings are good. They're pretty easy to understand, unlike Marx, and they say important stuff. Not at all to say that workers are stupid, but after a long day of work the last thing you want to go home and do is read Das Kapital.

I havent read much. So i agree that first i have to read to decide. Samaniego i do agree with you. My mom has a desk job and when she gets home she doesnt want to do anything, she only has the "strength " to read mail. she hasnt read a book in like 20 years. We are talking here about the minority, the ones whose voice is never heard. Unfortunetaly they are the ones with those jobs, you mentioned Samanniego, and they obviously become tired. That is half of the reason most people arent well informed on whats really going on, and just follow along with others opinions.

I may be a bad example, but I didn't read the Manifesto or even less know who Marx was, but I knew, that me working for another person while he enjoys life and Im busting my ass, was wrong, and that it had to change. Thats how I became consciuos, and then began to inquire on theorys, after not before.

It is the job of the established left to spread communism in as accessible a way as possible. Various forms of propaganda, such as leaflets and talks make more of an impression on a woker than Marx's tomes. Take the Smurfs as an example. You may not want to read Das Kapital, but who wouldn't want to watch cartoons?
