I have a couple of girlfriend who put me on the spot the other day. and I actually felt pretty embarrassed.

I was telling them that they should look into women who are revolutionary instead of Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton.. and they asked me to give them some names. and I couldn't really think of anyone besides Rosa Luxembourg..

can you guys tell me of some stuff I can read on and they can read on that deals with revolutionary women.. marxist, anarchist, etc...

oh yeah and something thats not Eva Peron.. <_<

You should show her the movie "Libertarias". It's a dramatic account of female revolutionaries during the Spanish civil war.

You should read, 'Free Women of Spain' by Martha Ackelsberg, it's a solid account of the autonomous womens' movement in spain during the spanish civil war period.
