I just came across two great sites that offer free online education on various subjects. Some of them I found usefull and decided to share them with other Comtades

just google "free education" or something along those lines and youll find plenty

There's also OpenLearn (http://www.open.ac.uk/openlearn/home.php) from the open university. It should of course be noted that none of these free courses (including the MIT ones) offer the possibility of degrees or formal qualifications.

You can also, as Abbie Hoffaman pointed out in Steal this Book, get a free education at any college or university. It works like this: Check out the school's course catalog for time and place. Show up at the beginning of class and ask the professor if he will let you sit in during the semester. He won't grade you and you won't get credit or a diploma but you can learn a thing or two.
