I didn't mind Good News....but this album is comparable to Lonesome Crowded West, their best album imo.

I skipped through it quickly and wasn't impressed at all. There were a couple alright songs, nothing memorable and nothing compared to their previous stuff. The dude's voice is the most annoying it's been ever been in my opinion.

Not only that, there were already over a thousand seeders on Oink by the time I got to it, so it's not even going to help my ratio. Overall, waste of time.

I read this post and reach the conclusion that you have either never heard any Smiths records or alternatively never heard any modest mouse records.

The two bands sound nothing alike, even remotely.

In fact the only way I can even think to connect the two bands is Johnny Marr.

:o Nothing memorable? I would venture as to say this is better than Lonesome....I have to give it some more time though. Easily better than Good News though.

I was making the connection because both Modest Mouse and The Smiths tried to be hip and cool. Modest Mouse suck ass. The Smiths dont.

I love Modest Mouse. Normally I am all for file sharing, but I respect the band, and wouldn't think of stealing their music. I've decided to wait till the album comes out, just this one time.
