I want to make a flyer about reason to be proud of being Mexican and for our people! our culture...
sadly many young people think and are proud of being mexican because of the wrong reasons. they associate Mexican with Gangs, Low riders, and other crap.. that is not really about The Mexican Culture..

what are some examples you could give me that Mexican youth should be proud of?

This is touchy subject, just because cultural or national pride (Brown and proud, "proud to be an American,") in many instances give birth to nationalism and patriotism

In addition, therez so many cultures in Mexico that its hard to pinpoint or emphasize one, and therefore many ppl just take pride in being Mexicans, and this often leads, as I mentioned earlier, to patriotism
For example, the people who showed up to the Immigrant protests last year carrying Mexican flags, they were for the most part proud nationalists

In Mexico, therez so many cultures such as the indigenous ppl, the ppl with European descent, the mestizos, the ladinos, and so on
Each one of these groups are proud of being such and having certain qualities and customs, which other ppl from other groups don't necessarily understand or identify with

So its hard to find a custom or a quality which all Mexicans identify with or can be proud of due to the large size of ethnic groups that exist in Mexico

I could mention something about the Aztecs but since many Mexicans are of European descent, some dont identify or connect with the Aztec culture

Personally, I like and value the country that I was born in, but I don't take pride in it
I take pride in my family customs and my culture, and I stay away from worshiping or glorifying the country

You could emphasise things like resilience and determination in the face of adversity. That's kind of a catch-all and it's not controversial.

you have to catch people FIRST with stuff that hits home to them and is directly aimed at them. if they see something about mexico, or latin america they will be more interested than hearing.. "we are all brothers!" sounds like some shit they hear at church.

im trying to focus first on mexico, ok Latin America and then make them see how we are no different than that people in Haiti, Guam, Bulgaria, Philippines, etc! we are all oppressed. but you have to get their attention according to their demographic and for me is latinos.

Well I think the whole point of "brown pride" is just one persons (Mexicans, Mesitizos, or even latinos or hispanics) pride in their own culture, not necessarily the country they had came from, just the connection within the culture.

huh what? i don't know where you are from or anything. but im just trying to let my people know about our culture. our native culture... the meso-american civilizations... we have a vast history and is important for us to know it.

white people are not an oppressed race/nationality. Black people and Latinos actively are and need to fight for liberation. White nationalism is just plain fascist and upsurd as whites are the oppressors, the slave owners, and the exploiters by large.
