I saw somewhere a map of the middle east. but it was a map on how "imperialist america" sees Islam and the middle east through their eyes.

and each country had a caption or a drawing. instead of their real name. For example Iraq had a target. Iran said "you are next" Israel had Dollar signs $$$, Indonesia said something like. "china muslims not as scary" you guys get what Im talking about? I'd like to make one similar but about Latin America. How the American Imperialism views it's neighbors...

MEXICO
CUBA
GUATEMALA
HAITI
PUERTO RICO
VENEZUELA

etc. etc. what would they say about these countries and others??

I was answering your question, that's all. Did I come across as aggressive or patronizing? If so, sorry about that.

Anyway, I made an error("and" instead of "in", fixed now), that might have contributed to the confusion. What I was saying is, that there are lots of muslims in China(or Indonesia, I'm not sure what it was about), and that apparently they are generally "not as scary" as those in other countries. Of course, in fact, Indonesia and China also have a bunch of right wackjobs, just like with all religions in all countries. :)

I think it means the US doesn't consider "chinese muslims" (indonesia and other countries in the indo-china region) as much of a threat as those from the Middle east

How wrong you are question everything. The Muslims southwest Asia are a huge problem to Americans, especially American tourist. Have you not seen the countless suicide bombings in restaurants in those countries down there? I personally think that the Muslims in that region are very anti-American almost as much as Muslim's in the middle-east. But most of this sentiment stems from Israel and the oppression of the Palestine's.

First of all, Chinese Muslims are the Muslims in Qinghai and Xinjiang Province i.e. Western China. They don't pose much of a threat to the US itself but the US has acquiesced to Chinese demands to label some of the groups as terrorist.

Not as much but from the aid and the attention that the US has given towards Indonesia and the Philippines, it's obvious that the US still views them as a threat especially as connections between the various rebel groups there and Al-Qaeda become clearer.

Most Americans can't even identify all the states in the US, let alone Latin America or the US. Anyways, a similar map of Latin America would be

Mexico: place where the "illegals" come from

Guatemala: the place where the 5th season of Survivor took place (don't exactly know where it is)

Cuba: horrible dictatorship, where leader Castro eats children

Venezuela: dictatorship under crazy man who wants to use oil revenue to help people

Brazil: one big beach where lots of beautiful women run around in thongs.
