We, communists have our own bible, our own guidance. It is called RUSSIA: FROM REVOLUTION to COUNTER revolution. Unfortunately, I've read only the first part but I'll keep my reading temper on. What do you think, dear people of the RED?

No, matter how well-intentioned any "Bible" is a dogma.

The only way not be to a dogmatist is to reject every subjective opinion, and rely only upon methodology to provide analysis.

Marx, possessed an "ontological method" as he called it, for analysing the economic infrastructure, and it is possible to expand upon this methodology in order to analyse the superstructure of social-political- and cultural opinions, because within subjectve development there are objective relations which can be abstracted.
All analysis without methodology is subjective critique, and thus is only a form of selfism. You can never be Karl Marx, but you can learn methodology, just the same way all empirical science is based upon a methodology.
Philosophy is a study, it is not a read, but if you are intererest in going beyond selfist opinion, there is a method on my website, and I will be more than glad to correspond, about any difficulties in relation to the method.
You see all subjective critique is by its own definition selfism, and something like a socialist "Bible" I would throw out with the garbage since it is an insult to theory never intended to become dogma.

Marx never saw himself as a selfist, hence "All I know is that I am not a Marxist" was often repeated by Marx. It was never a disclaimer on his political philosophy.

May the Force be with U!

I meant that the book by Ted Grant is a guidance, a beginning in knowledge of communism. As BIBLE describes the time before Jesus and after him, Ted Grant's book describes the time before Lenin and after him. As an atheist, I don't believe in BIBLE, but the morale stories still remain teaching, so I do not spit on the BIBLE or other religious books.

As I have understood you it is more historical book.
It is good to know history, but I advise you to read more on theory.

I don't think that Ted Grant was a communist, was he???

Ted Gant was a founding 'father of Trtskyism' who elevated the tactic of entryism into the labour party to a status of principle. He has long been a guru of sectarian groups within the Labour party.

This book, by Ted Grant and with a preface by Trotsky's grandson Esteban Volkov, which is in its final stages and will be approximately 500 pages long, covers the key developments in Russia since the Revolution right up to the present day. It traces the elimination of workers' democracy, the rise of Stalinism, the advances of planned economy and the eventual collapse of the bureaucratic system under Gorbachev. Using the method of Marxism, Ted Grant uncovers the contradictory developments that have shaped the Soviet Union over the last 70 years and finally led to its downfall. He also deals in detail with the present situation in Russia under Yeltsin and assesses the possibilities for a successful restoration of capitalism. Not since the publication of Trotsky's book "The Revolution Betrayed" in 1936 has such a detailed and comprehensive Marxist study of Russia been undertaken.
