At least 4 or 5 wars going on in Iraq according to a report I saw by ABC News
1. There is the Shia vs. Sunni war
2. There is the Shia vs Shia war going on in the south
3. There is the Saddammist, Baathist Insurgency trying to regain its power
4. There is also Al Qaeda in Iraq trying to impose its will
5. There is also a lot criminal acts of violence (who knows what this description really means?)

Call me a pessimist if you will, but I have no idea how Iraq could ever come out of this in one piece.

Agreed, I think in the long run once Iraq finishes Iraq and the U.S. finishes in Iraq, there will be no Iraq. It's like a mass genocide against the country by the U.S. and by the country itself. So it really has no hope. Suppose thats what the U.S. wants, the "spread of democracy" and all. Just wait until they start droppin' rockets on Iran, maybe thats what it will take for people to see what America really wants to do.

as others said, they forgot the US vs. everyone
the anti-imperialist insurgency isnt confined to baathists or "saddamists" (is that even a word? o0)

Personally i think Iraq will turn into another second congo war style conflict after the US pulls out.

The US aren't going anywhere. They're building permanent bases in the country. The Democrats won't change much either, they may take some of the soldiers out but there's no way the influence of the US will be taken away at government level. They'll continue to pull the purse strings over there for a long time to come.

Very true, though i doubt that will stop Iraq from turning into another second congo war.

Troop surge or not, nothing that the imperialists can do or will do can put an end to the destruction going on in Iraq
This shit's gonna continue until one group defeats the other or until the country is broken into seperate pieces
Sadly, those who suffer most are ordinary civilians caught in the crossfire

Those are some strange classifications. One could list several more such as nationalists vs. US, nationalists vs. foreign Al-Qaeda, Sunni vs. Kurds, etc.

Aye, good point. And now that you are being creative in your analyses and have inspired me you can add Iranian agents against AmeriKKKan trrops and Iranian agents against Sunnis. The conflict there is never going to end.

I think the Iranian involvement in the war is overblown by the US military. They need a reason to strike Iran, and accusing Iran of bombing Baghdad will give the US a good enough reason to send planes over Tehran.

quite eassily just put in a crazy dictator because that seems to be the only way that country can stay as one. with one figure everyone can fera and hate equally and toether, however that is a bad plan because we would end up with a fucked up state with a madman in power. now that is pessimism
