Myth: Communism likes to destroy nice, peaceful democracies.

False

Communism in the form that is preached by the US has never overtrown a democracy older than 3 years (Czechaslovakia.) Infact most of the countries which were called communist by the US authorities overthrew some of the most oppressive and corrupt dictatorships in history, such as Ch'iag Kai Shek's Nationalist China.

Myth: Communists are trying to take over the world

False

If the western image of "communists" were trying to take over the world. Stalin's purges would never have happened, Vietnam wouldn't have invaded Cambodia, The Soviet Union wouldn't have invaded Czechaslovakia.

Myth: Communists are more evil than Fascists

False

Fascists glorify the deaths that happened under their regimes. Communists denounce the regimes they are held against. Also this figure is based on the total death tolls of each, which notes in the small print, that "Communism" ruled over nearly a billion people, whereas Fascism only ruled over about 80 million. So it's hardly surprising that the death tolls quoted for communism are infact, less than 12 times the death tolls for Fascism. More people=More deaths.
