The Fall of Sukarno 1965

What role did the United States play in the 1965 coup in Sukarno that overthrew the progressive-nationalist Sukarno with the brutal military dictator Suharto. To what extent was the CIA in contact with the Indonesian military? Are there any resources or douments availible on the coup itself?

Suharto definitely had US and British support but the extent of this support is still debatable. We do have evidence that the Cia provided death lists for Suharto before the coup and thus were responsible for the massacre that ensued.
