This is unprecedented in British history. I must admit culture shock here.
However, it does indicate that Blair is in some serious trouble. This cash of for peerages scandal might divert from his more scurrilous war crimes. Is the British establishment doing a damage limitation exercise?

Even if he's convicted for the cash for peerages case, he can stil;l be charged with warcrimes.

What does 12/1 to 7/1 mean exactly?

It means they previously rated the odds of Blair being arrested as 1/13, or 7,7% and they are now rated at 1/8, or 12.5%.
Should someone place a £1 bet on Blair getting arrested, and he does, it mean they would win £12 (plus their original pound back) for 12:1, or £7 (+1) for 7:1

I love the fact that punters in the UK can bet on almost anything. Wish we had that in the US. I'd put serious money on us bombing Iran in the next 18 months.

I may be having a flutter on this.
It's interesting how people are prepared to make this kind of bet, it does show the level of cynicism in Britian.
