Urgh. Such a long explanation.

We're trying to make a patch of heroin-needle ridden land look really beautiful, paint a giant revolutionary mural on the side of a building, hang a huge banner over it, and invite the entire community in to help plant things and whatever.

Sound a bit lifestylist?

The reasons for doing this are pretty sensible. Firstly, as that particular bit of land has been marked for development. They want to knock down the women's Information centre and Racial equality centre (which are next to the land) to build more yuppie flats. The community oppose this, and our project will bring the community together in opposition to that, radicalising them when the counsil come to demolish it.

It's a lot more complicated than that, but basically we're trying to radicalise a community in opposition to a development, and increase our PR.
