I was just wondering if there's anyone here who still listens to Killdozer.. I just discovered them recently and it's like nothing I've ever heard before.. awesome! So far I have the albums "Uncompromising War on Art under the Dictatorship of the Proletariat", "God Hears Pleas of the Innocent" and "Intellectuals Are The Shoeshine Boys Of The Ruling Elite" CDs.

I know there's a LOT more material out there but this is all I have been able to find so far, I also know that Killdozer is fairly old and split quite some time back. Does anyone know what any of the members are doing nowadays? Also can anyone recommend any other good leftist music like this?

I know they're vaguely related to Big Black and I think I have one of their songs. When I can be arsed I'll download some of them.

They are awesome, I have never heard anything like them before. Maybe a bit too extreme for some people who don't like heavier music.

I'm a bit more interested now that you say they're heavy...

Heavy as in Morbid Angel or as in Agnostic Front?

On a scale of 1 to 10 even.

I have "Uncompromising ..." somewhere. I bought it out in Oregon or something a few years back. I thought it was okay. I'd have to give it a better listen perhaps. I might have been expecting more than what I got initially.

As for other leftist music, it used to be you could do an easy search on this board by username and such bit that doesn't seem to work at least not for me. I say this because your question has been posed many many times.

Dead Kennedys
Bad Religion
Redskins
the Clash
Newtown Neurotics
Crisis
Chumbawamba
Citizen Fish
Subhumans (both the english ones and the canadian ones)
Angelic Upstarts
Stiff Little Fingers
Gang of Four
MDC
Proletariat
the Dills
Scott MX Turner
Dick Gaughan
Christy Moore
Andy Irvine
Billy Bragg
Phil Ochs
Woody Guthrie

There are plenty more

I've never heard Morbid Angel but I'll go out on a limb and say no. But I wouldn't compare them to AF either. As I recall they tended to play slow and heavy with growling kind of vocals, so maybe close to Morbid Angel after all. Old Black Sabbath comes to mind in terms of the slow dirge kind of music they would sometimes churn out.
But the vocals are very different.
