i'm pretty ignorant about it so i was wondering if any anarchists on this board could help me.
1. how would an anarchist society prevent a government from forming? how would you fend off right-wing wackos with guns who want to take you over?
2. how would you get telephone lines, garbage disposal, etc.?
3. how would you ensure everyone was fed?

My thoughts on the subject reflect my own leaning towards anarcho-communism, so other views my vary greatly. Anyway, here we go....

The best way to keep a government from forming is to keed everyone involved in the process. By setting up a sort of town hall meeting forum where views can be expressed, and keeping any administrative positions circulating through the populace, you circumvent the need for a traditional government. Try to refer all possible votes to the people, and limit the authority of the administrative posts.

Production is reletivly simple: have everyone capable of work working. Dont have management or unproductive people sitting on top, thats a burden for the community. If everyone who can is out working on food or industry or maintanence, the work will get done and probably in fairly short order. This, of course, requires people with high work ethic to have a functional society, a level of maturity far above the average Americans capacity.

A Note On Specialization: Dont worry about people only being good at one thing, the specialist is an ofshoot of capitialist society. If people learn the basic processes, they are capable of preforming almost any task, history shows this to be.

Finally, the big question of how to maintain independance from fascists with guns (I'm not even gonna ask who would want to conquer a bunch of free thinking anarchists...) The answer isnt to complex: arm the population. An enemy comes and the armory is opened. everyone who can fight, does. This proved well in the Spanish Civil War, where small anarchist enclaves fought of the larger, more ordered, and better equiped fascist forces. People, when fighting for their own homes and families, are extremely determined and steadfast. Guerilla Warfare is extremely effective here (Its how the Vietnemese defeated an enchroaching superpower....).

Another option: If a possible threat to the material infastruture is not an issue (ie, they want the peoplw and the constructions in tact) then let them conquer you! There is almost no power that could hold a group of anarchists down if they dont want to be held. Internal chaos, confusuion, guerilla attacks.... A populace has a suprisingly large amount of power if they become integrated. Its the Doaist principle, let the enemy tire themselves chasing after shadows, and the when theyre tired, jsut walk over them.

Hope that proved enlightening!

Sounds a lot of anti-democratic neanderthal organisation to me. Arm the people with political consciousness, where there is not a dictatorship.

I have to laugh when I see all these obscure references to stuff outside of the thread, I mean I know people do not like repeating themselves, but hey, if you refer me to http. www. com expect it to receive the contempt it deserves, my laziness will match your laziness, you should be able to put regurgitate your arguments in a few sentances if it is only regurgitation and if the arguments are relatively simple such as the poverty of thought in anarchism, anarcho-syndicalism, and anarcho-communism, anarcho-crypto quasi heirarcy is next or was that the first creation?

derminated.

i have answers to all 4 questions by saying one thing.

for anything to happen, you have to educate and organize the people. this will come with lecutures, demonstrations, people army formings, protests, distrubuting literature and speaking at shows, writing, and finding a group of comrades and talking to other people.

that is the answer to all 4 of your questions.
