Pride and Prejudice

Has anyone read this novel? Sure, Jane Austen is a great stylist but the plot and the characters are so dull! The novel is so hopelessly bourgeois. I can't believe that this book is considered a must-read for young people of high school college age. It boggles the mind.

I saw the movie, but I haven't read the book. Actually, I only saw 5 minute segments 15 minutes apart from each other because I kept falling asleep.
